Blogs:- Hi All, In my practice , i have been sending my Paediatric patients for a Widal test. I understand that most of the times we have a titer as 1:40 or 1:80 and yes this shows that the titers for whatever.... salmonella etc is positive. BUT these Titers does not mean that the patient is having TYPHOID. We generally take titers above 1:180 to say that the patient has Typhoid. You may wonder why i am dragging this.. Thanks for your time. Coming to the point, we have our Ayurvedic doctors and our General practitioners take advantage of the ignorance of the parents and make money out of it by giving expensive injections, which is not at all required. I really feel helpless on this. Any solutions are welcome

Blogs:- Hi All, Recently i have been witnessing that my patients come to me stating that their kid aged 7months{etc} has some cold and cough that is not reducing and that they have started on Mox which they claim has been prescribed by doctor. When i question back when did they visit the doctor , then they say 4 to 5 months back they had visited the doctor . Well, on one side we have over the counter distribution of antibiotics and on the other hand we have these kind of issues. Request to all practicing Paediatrians is kindly tell the parents as to what medicines they can start and what medicines they should not. As it is i have been finding that Amoxicillin and Amoxy Clav are not working. Lets make efforts from our side. THANK U ALL.

Blogs:- The matrimonial conflicts in our society are on the rise and divorce rate graph amongst young couples is showing an upward trend. The problem can be attributed to stressful lifestyle, both partners working, and lack of joint family support ,as it used to be in the past. Various researchers have studied the negative impact of parent’s divorce on a child’s mental state, school performance and overall personality. The findings, published in the American Sociological Review, are based on data that tracked the development of 3,585 students from kindergarten through fifth grade to examine the impact before, during and after the divorce. This study reveals that these negative impacts do not worsen in the post-divorce stage, although there is no sign that children of divorce catch up with their counterparts, either. The developmental setbacks of the children is attributable to several factors, including the stress of living with bickering and potentially depressed parents, unstable livin...
