Hello.i m a 20 year old girl n i m suffered from rheumatic fever in may 2002.firstly i was treated with disprin.after 1 month i again had same problem then i was treated with penicillin 120000iu injections.now for 3 years with interval of 23 days approximately i m given these penicillin 120000IU injections.i m suffering from DEMYELINATION as well since October 2002.i wanna ask that for how long i have 2 continue these injections.is there some preventions 2 these, i mean some exercise or something like that.thank you.

We have one patient 7 year old male with h/o fever on and off since 2 month ( undocumented ) no other chief complaints , on examination pulse rate 134, rr- 18 , bp 110/68, cvs - diastolic murmur grade 3, p/a no organomegaly , chest clear ..investigation -- esr 15 , crp 19, ecg normal , aso 200, cxr no cardiomegaly with mild pulmonary plethora, ..echo s/o MR ..now pt is with us for 48 hour there no fever ,,,theirs no history s/o old rf or other manifestation of rf...how should we managed this pt. is steroid indited as esr an crp increased is these are sufficient evidence for activity.

9yrs old girl presented with pain and swelling both knees for 15 days.previous history of similar symptoms is there in ankle,which settled on its own.cvs and ecg is normal.esr is 95,aso titre is 200iu.crp is positive.child put on asprin and prednisolone assuming JRA,99 percent improvement in 2 days,child is able to walk with only slight pain....can it be rheumatic fever also..please guide on further management and treatment. thanks.
